Uiscefhuaraithe - The feeling of cooless that comes from water.
This gaelic word, (pronounced ish-ka-oo-ra), evokes many memories for me, of time spent with my family throughout my childhood at Fánaid beach. On hot summer days (of which Donegal has few), there was no greater peace to be found than relaxing in the majestic waters that spawned a wealth of Irish folklore.
